The History of Old Lakewood City
Old Lakewood City is an area known for it’s close proximity to Heartwell park and is not uncommon for many residents of this community to find themselves here on afternoons or during special festival events that are held fairly frequently.
Location
Although its name alludes that it would be located in Lakewood, the Old Lakewood City community is technically in Long Beach and is located just west of the Heartwell Park. The area is bordered by Conant the south, Bellflower Boulevard to the west and Woodruff Avenue to the east.

Parks
This great area of Long Beach has an astonishing 122 acre park with a plethora of activities for everyone to enjoy. Home to many baseball fields, picnic areas, special classes, fitness centers, 15 hole golf course and restaurants, this arks was purchased in 1931 with the use of water bonds. This is one park that really does offer something for everyone.
